If you want to be sarcastic about what I wrote..that's fine. But, for you gatekeepers and game-pals, lay off the how-to's of how to get better at a game that is 90% pre-defined outcomes.
If you want to keep suggesting there are actually real people that can "bypass" code-generated outcomes by sheer skill and reach a 100-14 record or whatever..it sorta makes you the [censored] of the joke. I agree there are standings that "show" players with ridiculously high win %, but you would have to be 12 or have the naivety of a 12-year old to believe those are legit and not just more manipulation generated by code.
I'm just trying to do a public service here. I'm not slamming the game or saying don't buy it. I'm just stating what most of us know that have played it a few seasons. The AI and code is gonna do what it's gonna do. And all the skill in the world ain't going to change that.

Its not 90% predetermined. You still have to put pci on ball and depending how well you can place pci and time it the more likely you get a favorable outcome.

One doesn't..my point. The code, amigo, manipulates us all. We just hold our controller (or whatever you're holding) in our laps, move the stick around, hit a button, and hope the AI decides to give positive results. It's much like a slot machine to be honest.
So, I'll believe there are "really" players that go 100-14 if anyone can produce a slot-machine gambler that has a similar record. It's the same level randomness.

Well, sometimes where you put the pci does matter. I'll give you that. I've found that about 1/3 of the time the pci doesn't even respond to movement. It just sits dead middle. About 2/3 of the other swings it moves where you intentionally put it in the path of a bad swing.
Maybe, perhaps, the other third you legitimately get the pci exactly where you intended it to go on a ball in the zone. Then it really gets dicey as to whether the AI (code randomizer) decides to give feedback that you were "too late", "too early", etc., etc., etc. But when whatever funky algorithm the designers use to give you the nod..it will take your perfectly placed pci and perfectly timed strike of the "X" button on PS5 and gives you the resounding "whack" of a hard hit ball. Sometimes even the old random perfect/perfect. And, if you're really lucky and the AI is being kind that perfect/perfect won't be hit directly at a fielder.
I just played a game where a guy was pitching Catfish Hunter and for 3 innings and he was throwing 100mph fastballs all over the heart and high in the zone. I couldn't touch it no matter where I had my PCI or timed the ball. Suddenly, in the 4th inning I couldn't miss it. I was just half-azzed swinging at his pitches (and he was only up to about 40) and nailing everything. 5 runs later and putting his 2 run advantage in the rearview mirror..he quit, I really had empathy for him because I'm sure he was saying wtf just like I was.
Ya see most of us will admit the messed up stuff happens in our favor as much as not in our favor. Which is exactly why no one should get shook if they are not able to hit the ball, or do on a homerun draught, The code will eventually check a counter and take the path that you have success and your poor opponent turns into a minor leaguer.

I’m starting to believe this guy more and more because of some of the nonsense I see playing it.
Idk for sure how random hitting is…but I can tell you what I know for sure is random…BUNTING.
Try to place a well-timed, strategic bunt with a card with high bunt ratings…good luck. Especially in a crucial situation.
Try to place a squeeze bunt in extra innings with a card with low bunt ratings after you’ve struck out 20 times….oh…that’s gonna be the greatest bunt in the history of baseball.

Bunting has always been a roulette wheel spin. Maybe there is some sort of strategy (where/when you move your stick) but I've never figured out how to control it.
So, I generally just stay away from it. I mean, it's like everything else in the game..when it's your turn to have a positive outcome the code is going to generate that favorable animation for you.

I used to take this game way too seriously. I got hooked into DD back in 17, and being a highly competitive person that loves baseball, I would get way too upset over the outcome of some games.
I’ve told myself, who gives a flying [censored] if you lose? Hardly no one outside my wife and a few friends/family know I play this game let alone care. This doesn’t make money for me, doesn’t determine the next meal for my family so I’ve gone into H2H play this year more relaxed
Maybe recency bias, but, I’ve never had as much fun in DD since 17 playing with a relaxed mindset…or at least trying to at all times
We all get frustrated. But no reason to let this game dictate or control your emotions. If it’s that bad for you, seriously consider playing something else for your mental well-being
This is exactly how I feel. Started in '17 and would be stressed and be in bad mood if I lost a few games or if I felt I got screwed by rng. I tell myself it's about enjoying my time now everytime I turn on the game.
In my 40s, I can really see the hand/eye coordination decline year after year. -
There's a line that exists in the game. If you're very good and can put the PCI on the ball consistently, the randomness doesn't hurt you much, if at all. If you're an average joe and hitting is hard, the randomness seems cruel.
But the idea that things are predetermined is just false. Otherwise I'd be able to play CBrev and win 3 or 4 out of 10. In reality, I'd lose by mercy rule every single game.
