My player is on the yankees. We are paying Cole 30 million a year to pitch in AAA. If the devs don’t want give the GMs a basic brain, why not let us make some choices. Let us pick players that should be traded or something. It may not be “realistic” but neither is paying a dude 30 million dollars a year to pitch in AAA.

The CPU teams will do that in franchise when the players regress enough and have options. The game doesn’t factor reality into the situation where Cole would veto the demotion and opt for free agency.

It’s also coming off a year where Cole was 2nd in Cy Young with an ERA just over 3, 17 wins and 240 strike outs. It just doesn’t make sense. But the game dropped him to a 77 overall so……. Wish they spent time making the game better.

Also sounds like franchises I’ve played. I can’t name how many times Rookie of the Year winners spend the next several years in the minor leagues. Players also regress randomly for seemingly no reason at all. This stems from complaints in this forum that players would play to long and they made that system that literally kills them earlier than they would in reality.

Guess it is what it is and it is lame. Easier just to print cards I guess. One thing they do that I like is, they put this on game pass day one. Since I play other games on that I get to save 70 bucks.

There is another Max Muncy who was a first round draft pick for the A's a few years back. Same name, but different Max then you're thinking.

Meanwhile, I do have to agree somewhat about the "general concept" of this post.

    To wit:
My first character, SP/1B for BOS, watched Casas, Bello, Sale, Story, Duvall, Verdugo, etc. all leave in trade. About the only "recognizable" fielders left for BOS by the time he made the majors was Devers and Dalbec...
Second character watched Mo (Card's GM) completely revamp the rotation between 23 and 24 - I'm talking a rotation of Nola, Severino, Lorenzen, Turnbull and Kikuchi. In all actuality, I think Genesis Cabrera is the only Card pitcher to remain on the staff between the start of 23 and where I am now in 24...
My most recent Character, Catcher for BOS, did not completely gut the roster, though "Bloom" has traded at least one player of note: Casas... And at one point (simmed offseason, wound up with Ohtani on the roster, never "saved" it, then had to re-sim the offseason and watch Ohtani jump ship to the Orioles...)

This can be reduced in the sliders. The last one is trade frequency. I like a lot of trades and have it all the way to the right.

If he was on the IL during the last update they would move him to AAA, when you started that player. I don't remember him going on the IL, but it could have been a short 10 day stint I didn't know about. I know it's that way for MTO anyways.

Got me. Apparently it wasn’t realistic to some for players to play into their late 30s.
