Wow unbelievable

Just bought a 50 pack bundle and a duos 'choice' pack ... hits for bundle? Tucker and ..... that's it. All the rest silvers and commons with about 5 golds. That I already had. And the duos pack-- an 83 OVR pitcher who's name escapes me-- THAT I ALREADY HAD 3 OF. Should have given one of you half what I paid and had you kick me in the nuts- basically would have been cheaper for what I received anyway.

Wait...you're telling us you bought packs and didn't pull anything good? No... That's impossible. That truly is unbelievable. I am shaken to my core. Why would SDS do that to you? How am I supposed to get through the rest of this day knowing that packs are a waste of stubs?
Seriously though... The fact that you got a single diamond card (Tucker) means you did better than most. Opening free packs in the game? Great.
I played a single event game, earned a standard pack, and pulled Degrom. That was a nice little influx of unexpected stubs. Buying packs with stubs, especially standard packs? Waste of money 90% of the time. Do so at your own risk. -

Pack odds are 1:50
and 1:10 gold.So ... you nailed it!

You gambled with a 75k stub purchase of 50 packs and at least you got a diamond but once again repeat after me.. packs are never worth it unless they are free. Buy the card you want off the market.

Theres nothing unbelievable about anything you said.

So this is just in case a younger kid sees this because I know I wasn’t taught about statistics and how they actually work until college.
So the odds for a diamond is 1 in 50.
This in NO WAY means you will get a diamond if you open 50 packs. In this case, each pack you open is separate or INDEPENDENT from any other pack you open - so mathematically the odds are the same every pack - 1 in 50 CHANCE it will be diamond.
Its pretty close to the same odds as you pulling the card you want out of a deck of standard playing cards - 1 in 52 -aka no way in hell unless yer Mel Gibson in that Maverick movie
You see lots of posts where the person clearly thinks the odds are guaranteed or something - - it doesnt matter if you open 1 pack or 10,000 the odds are the same when you open the pack…1 in 50 - - a maverick’s chance in frozen hell.

“…ain’t ya gonna look at yer card? Look at gd card!”
Maverick flipping that no-look ace of spades was awesome. Thanks for that reference

Oh I am fully aware of this, and I appreciate you going into detail- because although I'm not a young kid (im going to be 46 in like 2 weeks and I haven't had statistics in Approximately 40 years or so...) it's good to know the analogy you made. Makes a lot more sense for the young in's.

Case in point- those all star packs last year ... 30k or 40 k and 9 times out of ten you got a card worth 6000, maybe 10000... they are getting all NBA 2k with it
