TA grind is unbearable

I think most people who play this game regularly is done with the TA programs! You make progress by just playing the game in any DD mode with games being played!
I play several hours a day everyday. And I’m at about 85ish percent done with 4 of the 6 divisions. I finished 2 by exchanging 5 vouchers which gave me the last 20 points I needed. It’s most definitely a grind and not a fun one. Unless they make showdowns repeatable for TA1 or make vouchers easier to get aside from playing mini seasons I’m just gonna keep grinding. It’s FOMO honestly. I don’t want to be stuck trying to get a Charisma card I’m not gonna use when the next TA is bound to be something even better.

Been done for weeks
Well, aren't you special!!
Amazing what you can accomplish with 210 hours invested over a mere 5 week time period.
-
I only finished the NL East. About 80% AL West, 68% ALEast, both Centrals are at a whopping 11%, and i forgot the NL West %.
Only 2 days off. I need a vacation to play a ton. -
Here is what you do if possible. Load up your lineup with captain, henchmen cards or team builds, go into team affinity mini seasons, find a good show to watch on Netflix and grind away.

TA is not just about playing the game regularly. I play the game a ton and have not finished a single division. I have done the showdowns, conquests, and almost all player pxp missions (outside of a few captain pitcher ones) and I have done one TA mini season. I have the AL west at 96% but the other five are at 78-79%.
Unless you are going to avoid online modes so you can load up division based teams and beat up on cpu, conquest or mini seasons modes, it just isn’t going to happen in a reasonable time frame. Or you play way more than I do and I just can’t play more than I do.

SDS can't win. If they drip out the grind, people complain. If they do a massive content dump that's meant to take weeks for the average gamer, people complain.
Do it at your own pace! The cards you unlock are good through Season 2, which goes into July.
Relax.

Not all modes progress towards team affinity. My brother plays a lot of co op ranked. We went through the whole program together several hours of gameplay and no pxp ever counts. I’ve been off on leave for surgery so I finished mostly grinding against the cpu but he’s yet to get a single card from the program.

The moonshot event is great for TA grinding

Yea I told him to load up with players he needs points with and play that till it’s over. I don’t understand why you can’t get pxp from a ranked mode. I remember them saying just play the game how you want. Lol

You're sharing players with another human. So should you get pxp if your teammate hits 2 nukes with your guy and you strike out twice with him???
Pretty simple and pretty fair, I think.

I don't know the answer on pxp with Co-op, but I think the point they are making is that this game is really not "play how you want to play". It is play a specific way if you want specific cards. Programs like TA are designed more for an offline player to load up specific players and play CPU or mini seasons over and over...or load up specific guys and play moonshot. TA is not going to come easy for someone who mainly plays things like RS or BR.

If you want to be strictly literal, then fine. But co-op is clearly not meant for pxp -- too easy to exploit. Losers would be paying WS players to co-op with them. It would be a pathetic cottage industry nobody wants to see.
This game has its problems, but within the realm of UT games it's the most consumer-friendly out there. Everyone who plays a lot can have a god squad without spending one cent over the price of admission. If they play a lot.
And you get more pxp for online modes like RS, BR, and Events.
There is nothing unfair going on here.

I just finished up last night. But yeah it takes dedication. Putting those guys or playing with those teams every chance you get. Mini Seasons and conquest for me mostly. But I like having something to work towards. Now that I am done I am waiting for nest season.

Playing well in ranked, BR or events gives you more XP. That's some players have finished it already.

210 hours in 5 weeks is an average of 6 hours a day.
Not judging, just saying.

Agreed. You’d think a mini season, conquest, moments and showdown would be enough to at least get you half way. Then it’d make sense for you to have to grind it out the rest of the way. Even with completing the Captain and Henchmen tasks while doing the mini season/conquest it still felt like an eternity.
I didn’t play last year so I went into this year with hopes tackling TA first. It’s been so off putting I’ve only finished East and AL central. I’ll finish it when I finish it. Honestly the only card that I’ve enjoyed using from the what I have is the Wander Franco and Devers. No one else has really been interesting to me to even put in a line up.

I think the thing that can be easy to forget at times is that these forums are probably filled some of the most dedicated players. Just because some people here have completed these programs and to them it was easy, does not mean it is that way for everyone. If dedicated players are completing the moments, showdowns, conquests, pxp missions, still playing other modes and not finishing it before the next one launches, that might be a sign that the program could be discouraging to many players.

Not that difficult... beat the 3 showdowns, 3 conquest maps, 30 moments, play the game with players that aren't listed as "free agents" and do the captain missions... I've completed both East Divisions and I am nearing completion on AL West with NL West sure to follow... Central are only divisions I haven't gotten around to getting a lot of their players in my lineup but hopefully once I do their Conquest and Showdown I'll know where I'm at... plus the program doesn't expire so you can still do TA1 while TA2 is out which might also mean that certain PXP and XP and stats and such stack... unless they specify that the players have to be from Set 2 in TA2 but I'm thinking it'll stick with the same model as TA1.
