Don't listen to this man. The best piece of advise anyone can give is lame and self explanatory; put in time and effort. Play tons of games, find what works for you when it comes to pre pitch PCI placement. Take lots of BP in custom practice on legend, preferably with sliders up. Have a good approach in the box just like with real baseball, look for pitches to drive instead of trying to be fancy and hit well located pitches.

You have any tips on picking up the ball from the pitcher release point? I just cant seem to pick up the ball out of the hand. And yes i do have a monitor.

Try in custom practice before you even take any swings just trace pitches with the PCI for a while. Then start adding in swings once your seeing the pitches and tracing them well.

Yeah I do. First what you wanna do is focus on the pitcher's windup to get your timing down. Get a feeling for when he starts his motion to when he breaks the hands to when he puts his foot down. That's usually on par with the release of the baseball; once he puts his foot down.
What I also do is focus on either the location where his hand will be releasing the baseball to try and see the baseball as early as I possibly can and if he has a funky windup or delivery it helps to focus on something static until the ball comes out, like the logo on his hat for instance.

Also, playing on one of the strike zone cameras will help you see the ball as early as possible and also see the break well to determine the pitch type that is being thrown to you.

It takes some practice but those are the best tips I can give you.

I agree with focusing on release point. One thing that helps me in certain parks is I will find that release point and then tie that to something on the batters eye. In shippet it’s easy because of the wood grains in the backdrop. I will use one of those to focus on the exact release point baseball city is good too. Not all parks have the batters eye for this but if you get one that does you can get the exact release every time

1.) Have a plan for every at bat.
2.) Be patient at the plate. Don't be in a rush to get the game over with. This has the effect of getting you into hitter friendly counts, fatigues the pitcher, and the more balls they throw the more confidence they lose for certain pitches (I think this is massively important). My goal in every game is to have the pitcher throw 15+ pitches an inning. People probably hate playing against me because my games are probably longer than average because I'm incredible patient.
3.) Early in the count you want to reduce your strike zone. And by that I mean sit on pitches where you want them. Then let the count dictate how big your strike zone becomes. If I go 3-0, I'm sitting middle of the plate and nothing else. There's a high probability they're throwing the next pitch to try and get a certain strike. If I'm 0-2 obviously I need to be more aggressive at swinging, but just be aware the you're likely to see more junk pitches trying to put you away.

Your goal should be to become a good 0-2 hitter.
