As a whole, are we 100% positive that a player that is in the DL WILL NOT get downgraded?
I just packed LS Verlander and before I decide to sell him or lock him in; I want to make sure he won't get downgraded Fri.
I think he's pretty low, 70-80K, for a 90ovr player. And I assume that's because he hasn't pitched yet.
If he's going to stay a 90; I'm locking him in. But if they would happen to drop him, even 1 pt, I would sell and buy back when he eventually drops to around 40-50K.
Ironically two of the five LS Diamonds I packed so far this year were him and DeGrom. The other three were J-Rod, Clase, and Jazz.
Not a bad percentage.
And I sold DeGrom for 130K which funded 13 of the 30 LS teams.

I think Eddie Diaz gets moved to a Free Agent since he is out for the season. That may for the short term bump mad max and verlander over 100k plus. Verlander they wont touch since he hasnt played yet.

I don't think they have ever moved a diamond to free agency for an injury, even when it's long term. Only golds and below.

I started paying attention in 2017 so I know from then.
They have never changed ratings on someone who was on the IL
They have never moved a diamond who was on the IL(even the 60 day that removes from the 40 man) to the FA pool.
The only diamonds that ever made it to FA pool were because they were put on MLB's restricted list. -
For Edwin Diaz to go to Free Agents the Mets would have to make a move that frees up a spot on the 40-Man that involves doing something with Edwin that takes him off the 40-Man without him having to be DFA'd... I want to say it has something to do with which IL/DL he is listed on... without that move happening (and I don't see it happening) Edwin Diaz will be in the Mets collection for most of the year... I feel like the Mets will only make such a move later in the year when rosters expand or at the trade deadline if they make a deal that requires freeing up a roster spot on the 40-Man.
I'm not sure of the specific rules but I wouldn't expect Edwin Diaz to be taken out of Mets collection and put in FA pool anytime soon... and as PAinPA stated above me the MLB restricted list is typically what leads a player to get moved from their team to FA in MLB The Show... Fernando Tatis and Trevor Bauer for example.

Mets added Uceta and Yacabonis, but sent down Santana.
That means at least one Met is getting dropped. Probably Carrasco so they can put off the tough decision until later.
