was thinking the same since so many 1b, dh, RF options, nad outside of bob gibson, ohtani, roki, theres not good pitching and those 3 really arent dominate imo
i agree completely - im cashing everything in to complete my NL for now - my wild card is the Ohtani CP card
I pulled that 99 Ohtani twice and it's been an amazing card. He's great on the mound, he's fast and he's powerful at the plate. I am only like halfway done with the WBC program so I don't have the CP Ohtani yet

It’s the best card in the game right now (99 Ohtani). Unbelievable hitter and with not a lot of great SP options out there now elite there too.

nice bud - my team is really sick at the moment and i feel like i'll put my eggs in the ohtani CP WBC card to carry over - this card is so [censored] nasty i could have as a P5 easily if i just hold onto this one and stick with a few core cards once we get to Set 3 and beyond

Don't you technically get more cards from Live series than set 1 at this point?
You do, but none of the rewards (I.e. Jeter, Sosa etc) are collectible at this point or good towards any collections. So unless you want those cards specifically, or want to collect everything in the game like I do, Set 1 is a better approach.
I do believe that will change, but for right now, none of the collection rewards from LS go toward a greater good.

I mean I currently have 133 from just grinding out the game and two lucky pack pulls but mainly just been playing and bought some cheap guys because i liked the cards all NMS so its really not hard to do both. I have a bunch of the live series collection done aswell besides like the angels, dodgers, rangers and mets being the ones that are extra expensive as i got lucky and packed judge.
You can definitely grind both as live series will be useful once set 2 and 3 come around for captain teams and when set 1 cards get phased out plus in restricted events that only let you use certain cards like the core cards from live series collection and BR/Ranked i believe.

LS gives you 3 players u can use all year, plus the “super charged” cards, and any limitations on events, etc usually still include live series. I did NL first plus trout, then finished up LS selling all set 1 cards to do so. Now that live series is complete I can focus solely on set 1/set 2, etc.

I would doubt that they'd put s time limit on being able to get Pedro,.Ruth, and Chipper like that especially since they'll go into the big collection

I think the chipper and trea turner pathway seems appealing now, but honestly in a month or two you will be happier doing live series I think as sosa, mcgwire, and jeter will be keepable year round. yes, there is a wild card spot, but you can only keep 1 really.

or do I need to say the heck with it and lock in all those stubs for set 1?
whats the pros and cons to it ?
Biggest upside is that you can do live series collection all year everyone just always spends stubs and do it early but over time you will save so much in stubs if you keep opening packs throughout the game cycle. In my opinion the Set 1 collection rewards are a lot better than live series rewards and you get so many of those cards from grinding for free
