Serious question…how do you pitch?

I’ve been playing this game online for years now, and I was always a good pitcher. Guys….how do you pitch against good players online this year? Lol it’s become near impossible.

Not only that, but all these pitchers have terrible control, the zone where the ball can go is absolutely tremendous, when I make good pitches they’re always either fouled off or rocketed for a HR. It can be out of the zone, it doesn’t matter. Super frustrating.

im in the same boat. Ive mostly won by pitching bc i am average at best at hitting, This year i feel like i suck complete booty at pitching. I played an event game and my dude hit everything i through, and hit it hard. I finished the game to get the egg, but it was super annoying (lost 14-1 or something like that)

I think for most pitch first guys, it’s unfortunate because the game designed people to hit and score runs, because that’s what brings people in, plus the meta hasn’t changed in years so, any good player can sit and wait and no where it’s going now.

As far as strategy, if you're playing a goon it's actually best to avoid the black. They're more likely to swing through something within the zone but off the center than they are to not destroy something on the black. Then mix it up and pray.
If you're good enough, tunnel. The double up. A goon will adjust right away, then punish you. If you're unpredictable enough, he'll probably just rely on reaction time and punish you again.
There are plenty of players like me who have a decent record (16-4) but meh hitting stats (.287ish, slugging 660's). Hope to roll one of us in the matchup, lol.
