I just wanted to make a post saying how much I enjoy the 99s available right away. It used to be only the stub buyers got 99s on Day One from the collections. Now, if you’re really good at the game and go flawless or make WS quickly, you can get a 99, too. In my mind, that’s fair.
It really isn’t that bad. I’ve been grinding as much as I can, and I don’t even have a single 99. I’m at 350k xp, and my highest cards are 97s. Still, I’m thrilled to take a team of 95-97s into ranked and be able to feel confident that I’m not overmatched simply because I won’t buy 3 million stubs on Day One (or however many stubs it cost to do the Live collection).
I don’t have Jeter, Sosa, or McGwire, but I can compete.
Plus, I love the fact that if you make WS in April, your reward is just as good as if you made it in September. That’s fair to me.
I’m a huge fan of grinding a guy to P5 as early as possible and still being able to use that card late in the game cycle. Bravo, SDS.
