Or at the very least our entire starting lineup and each player still picks 1 starting pitcher and 1-2 closers.
This is the number 1 issue that co-op still has, and it’s very unfortunate that it still exists in ranked co-op.

I haven't actually played co-op yet, but I would imagine the #1 issue is people getting longer and longer timeouts for quitting freezeoffs along with getting disconnected randomly. At least that seems like a pretty big issue based on what I've read on here.
I get what SDS was trying to do...but they have a few things to figure out in regards to making the game actually run correctly with 4-6 people before they implement something like that.

I think there should be a bit more of a selection, but don't allow teams to be OP. Maybe let us pick 2 diamond hitters, and 2 gold hitters each.
I do think the way pithcing selection works is annoying. I would prefer everyone be able to bring 2 relievers and stop letting people use starters out of the bullpen. that was definitely the biggest issue last year because you would see Randy Johnson every single game

It is so easy to get Diamond players in this game. If you play ranked or casual solo, you get to pick your entire roster. Why is co-op treated so differently.
I understand the initial intent, but part of DD is to unlock players and create a good team before jumping into online competitive play.
If you don’t want to spend time getting a few diamond players, then go play co-op exhibition games where you chose an actual team. I seriously doubt anyone playing ranked co-op wants to be forced to use sub Diamond players.

Just let us pick the gold players from our own inventory or at least make it more random.
I mean Kirk the Meatball is great and all but I think there might be a better choice out there.
