Saving the squad till show time ??/

Is it possible to have the system retain the pro team (actual live squads) that's been carefully constructed and upload at the beginning of your career in RTTS? In the past when I've made it to the 'show' half my squad has been transferred or retired. As a NY Mets fan, I want to make it to the show with the real life players all present.

No really, there are no controls for that. You are at the mercy of the AI GM when it comes to who they sign or trade.

I share OPs sentiment, this is supposed to be the "fantasy mode" where I insert myself into the current MLB landscape, not some "hypothetical" one in which the various GM AIs decide what the team(s) are supposed to look like.
Limiting (can't move people on the 40-man roster) or disabling the "Trade AI" for the "Current" (read: title) RTTS season would go a long way in doing so.
