Any chance they'd ever have Darryl Strawberry or Doc Gooden on the game? Would love to see either of those guys after watching their 30 for 30.

You should check out MLB network. They were showing the epic 1986 NLCS against the Astros a few days ago.
They are always showing replays of the great games or teams in MLB history.
I spent Sunday rewatching some of the best games from my childhood.
That 86 team was one of the best teams I ever saw.

86 also has one of the worst games of the year depending on your team

    I feel for you man.

That was one heck of a BoSox team. Buckner got the blame, when an honest assessment will show that the bullpen cost the Red Sox the series.

It'd just be nice seeing fresh faces like Doc and Darryl and other players from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s that haven't been on the game in at least the past few years. Would love seeing guys like Manny Ramirez, Pedro, Nomar, and other dudes from that Red Sox core as well.

The 80s seem like a lost decade in this game, just a few guys now.

I was thinking the same thing.
But I noticed something yesterday. While playing conquest, I noticed the product placement.
Chick-Fil-A in ATL and John Hancok in BOS to name a few. I assume that these companies paid for these spots.
That can be alot of extra revenue for SDS. Hopefully they will use some of that money for new legends.

I have a feeling that next year with cross play and this added ad revenue, I think we are going to get some major additions.
Doc and Darryl would be great. But the Great One, Roberto Clemente is the dream.

True, Bob Stanley really blew that game. The game was already lost by the time Buckner happened.

Does anyone know how much it costs for SDS to get right to guys like Manny, Darryl, Doc, etc....? I feel like the more legends they can get in the game the more excitement they will generate from it's players and therefore more revenue. Unless the cost is ridiculous it seems like a no brainer

I'm not a big fan of the steroid era of players either, but the game would be so much better with guys like McGuire, Sosa, A-rod, and all those guys.

It vaires from guy to guy. It's not like dealing with one entity and one group of lawyers like with the MLBPA.
Each player has their own price and lawyers to deal with.
Some guys cost too much and others don't want to be in the game.
The issue with deceased players is harder. There you are dealing with families and in some cases trusts.
Players like Dimaggio and Clemente will be very difficult due to cost and dealing with legal issues.
Dimaggio for example was very selective in his endorsements and I am sure that belief continues with those entrusted with his legacy and image rights.

Jody Reed, John Valentin, Mike Greenwell, Mo Vaughn, Ellis Burks, Troy O'Leary, that one Nick Esasky season, Bruce Hurst, Tom Gordon... lots of choices from just the late 80s/early 90s.
