I’m using the throwing meter (button accuracy) during gameplay but the green area never moves like it was demonstrated during the feature premiere. I’ve seen many people playing where this occurs but not for me.

The meter is always centered with a large green area. No matter the play type. I play on Simulation - Legend Difficulty.

Is there something I’m missing in the settings that turns the “shifting of the green” in the throwing meter off? I thought this was a great upgrade to the defensive aspect of the game but I can’t seem to get it to work.

Any assistance / advice would be appreciated.

Simulation style is the reason. I believe that change was for the competitive setting only

I thought that as well but I’ve seen people playing on Simulation style on YouTube / Twitch and the meter has shifted in their gameplay.

Also, I’ve switched it to Competitive style and it still doesn’t make a difference.

You have to put it on competitive and make sure fielding aids are turned off.

Could depend on the perceived difficulty of the play I question (eg fast runner, long throw, throwing off the back foot etc) and the attributes of the player making the throw?

Maybe you just haven’t had a bad combo yet.

Shouldn't "Competitive" mode be changed into "Casual noob" mode?

If you’re playing simulation style doesn’t that mean your maxxed out custom legend sliders are moot and your results won’t reflect how good you actually are at the game?

For any online modes (BR, events, ranked) it works not sure why it is not working offline

Go to User Settings. Go to the 3 dots all the way on the right. Hit save as new preset. Create from Competitive. It should be named “Competitive 1”Change your hitting and fielding to what you use. You will need to change your cameras again too. Fielding aids need to stay “off” in order for the meter to work properly. So you will not be able to use catcher pitch suggestions. Once you tune your settings save your changes and set as default. It should work now. This is what I had to do to get it to work.
