Your 2023 first 48 hours plan
-
My first 48 hours are basically gonna consist of opening packs, knocking out some quick content (moments, conquests)....and working.
Saturday the 26th at noon, i leave work and i have 9 days off.
That's when the grind really begins.

I think I posted something like this last year. So, what's your plan for the first few days of MLBTS 2023? For me:
- Get through all the "forced" tutorials.
- Configure all my settings.
- Rip open all packs.
- Do all the quick programs, Moments, small Conquests.
- Then... I'm guessing I'll work through the USA map. I'm assuming it will take a while for me to get used to the new hitting and fielding. I'd love to jump into Mini Seasons, but given the issues last year, I'll wait and if others run into problems.
- After a few days, maybe jump into the first Event.
- After a week or so, take my chances on BR. I need to let all the "A-players" work through it first.
What are you guys doing first?
- Tutorials- beer #1
- Create my team-name- colors etc- beer #2
- Tour the new game- familiarize myself with the site
- Rip packs- beers #3-5 to commiserate over my lack of Trout/Ohtani pulls
- Create RTTS player and start first Archetype
- Buy whatever pieces I need to have a useable first roster- beer #6.
- Call buddy who drives for Uber Eats and order more beer.
#7: Beer? Why not the good stuff. Jameson? McClelland's? etc.
-
When the servers are up, my plan is to flip less and play more RS. Just having more fun with it overall.

I’m with you on this. I’ll still try to collect every Flashback and Legend while completing the LS collection but my focus will be more online play this season.

I'm really hoping we don't have the server issues for the first few weeks.
I don't recall any server issue last year at early access or mass release. Pretty sure 2022 was the least eventful server issue year we have had

I like that creating your RTTS player needs more focus that you stopped drinking for that step

5. Make spreadsheets for the programsIf you don't mind me asking, what all does your spreadsheet entail? This will be my second year playing DD.
I make spreadsheets for each program (including the feature programs) that tracks missions, moments, points, and rewards ( @BxnnyMxn__MLBTS has seen some of these and can comment on them if he wishes) and a Lineup and Depth Chart. This one can be seen on my YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/@blindbleeder
At first, they aren't very intuitive but if you're familiar with Excel, and after you get used to my format, they are easy to use. No knowledge of formulas are required. You just need to know where and where not to put x's.
The main reason I make the program sheets (besides calming my OCDness) is because I find it annoying to have to keep referring back to the program pages to see where I am. With these sheets, I can keep playing and mark my progress in the sheets and focus on what I need to do to finish the program.
My lineup and depth chart sheet uses the API database and helps me keep track of my parallels as well as the attributes of my current squad and those of the LS teams I play. I will probably have to do a lot of tweaking on this for 23 with the introduction of Captains and Series cards. I get the attributes for the cards I "own" by copy/pasting my "owned" cards from the Inventory section of the website. I am still looking for a better solution for this without having to shell out money for it.

I played 280 Games of RS last year. Truth is, i'm not jumping into RS until i have a full Diamond Squad.

My bad, didn't realize I quoted the wrong post. Thank you for the direction!
-
Watch hours of what to do videos
Read all posts of what they will do
Think long and hard on what will work for me
Start game, rip packs, blow up all the above -
If you’re not drinking two bottles of Jameson and screaming at your TV/monitor due to unexpected server error’s are you really playing The Show on launch week?

Won’t matter, Online play is and has been an RNG slot machine since ‘18

This is much appreciated guidance; I'll check out your channel. I too hated going back and forth after almost every game to see my progress and try to do the math in my head and remember it all game. This should give me some experimenting once I see how yours is set up to tinker with it a bit and tailer to my play style and how I attack the game. Thank you again!

the trick is to just stay low key in the 400-500-600's - i am 34-1 in RS this year - i feel like goliath and i never need to play enough to get into the 700+ where people are actually good
-
- Open preorder stuff and get Jeter
- Build my team and see where I need to upgrade
- Buy Mike Trout and a solid pitching staff
- Hop into either mini seasons or ranked
