It’s not a theory, mlb actually admitted to using two balls this year. MLB admitted to switching to a more “juiced” ball at the end of May as offense was not where they wanted to see it. Strikeouts were at an all time high early and homers were down to late 80’s levels. Baseball will need to use the more juiced ball to counteract the high velocity that we are seeing. Otherwise the game will be miserable to watch.
