a friend of mine said this and couldn't be more bang on accurate - "Offline player b1tching on TSN about there not being enough to grind in DD. I’m thinking, “Why are you grinding anyway? To improve your squad to only play the CPU? Why not go into Franchise, put the cards you’re grinding for on your team, and play as much as you want?”"
Because many of us like collecting and team building and hate playing the crappy online game.
yeah i guess you just can't have everything you want in life right ?
many will give you options to enjoy the game and you simply choose to whine and complain - especially in the time of this plague virus happening globally
get some perspective, get some basic sense of self awareness, and learn what it means to be a man outside of the gaming world
thats my best advice for you and anyone who thinks like you
What the he11 are you talking about man? Grow up
hahaha you were specifically the person who replied to my post - and now you are confused
you sound like a complete imbecile

Do we need those players to beat the CPU? No.
Is it still fun to collect the players and build a squad of legends? Yes.
Is it more to play and bat with the likes of Mickey Mantle or bring in Dennis Eckersly for a save rather than mediocre live series players? Yes. -

Dolenz what you said makes total sense. if there was a way for you guys to get those cards that should really make it all fair and even right - maybe in franchise mode or something you guys should have them all

amen and i agree - SDS get those moderators in here to clean this dumpster fire of a thread up
-
I have played alot less that 72 hours and I only have 120 stars. I know I am not able to complete the show down. I hate that mode but mostly hate that it is an all or nothing type of playing I know I will not be getting close to the 1st inning bosses. I'll be lucky to get to 200. I have written SDS several times when I have come up with issues in game and always bring up that show down should not be all or nothing for program stars. beating each boss should get you program stars.
-
I'm with ya TC. I honestly feel like the devs are trying to actively push offline players away from DD. Between what you've brought up and my complete lack of luck with opening packs I don't even play the game anymore. This has been a huge eye opener for me and won't be buying next year's edition. Not that it matters since they're opening the game up to Xbox and will have more money than they've ever had rolling in.

That is a whole other issue that has been brought up multiple times. Yes, I use the team for all of the conquest maps and I will usually run the main conquest map multiple times (just not multiple times in the same inning program)
But most offline players have lamented that there needs to be another offline mode to use your own DD team. Some of us were even hoping that we could use Leagues and simply set the other teams to CPU controlled but obviously that is not an option.
I have often voiced my opinion that the Main Conquest map should get refreshed rewards as often as events or at least give us different stages. Right now, after you complete it once the only reward you get for investing that 12 hours a second time is a 10 pack bundle and I think we know how those are, more time than not, garbage.
-
Completing the U.S. Conquest will get you at least 30 stars every time you complete it.
-
Why would they make more offline games for DD? The programs are there so you grind your stubs/rewards if you don’t want to shell real money, so that you can build a team towards competitive online play. Never see those arguments for offline in other EA UT games. Weird.
-
I'm passing 350 with no Showdowns or Online play. Completed: All Conquest, any and all Moments, a couple of the daily challenges. I did finish 2 collections (Nationals and Padres). Lots of doubling up (via conquest or 9 inning games) to get innings for FoTH points. I also did MTO runs (on Beginner) for Nats, Padres, and KC (currently working on) to get FoTH points so I have Soto, Tatis, and Ohtani.
-
I'm not even entertaining this thread. I play predominantly offline, and I'm at 400 stars. No reason to complain.

I've seen many FIFA UT offline players complain that they are "forced" to play online to complete the weekly challenges to get rewards.
Players are going to complain (whether they are offline/online only) regardless. Everyone seems to believe they should have the same opportunities to get all the cards that other players do. It's the fear of missing out, or belief that you are being targeted or screwed over. Its human nature.

This will age me, but imagine back in the day of Super Mario Bros if everyone felt entitled or cried because they didn’t save the princess. Just because something is in a game, especially based on a rewards system, doesn’t mean everyone should have it. Being a husband and dad, I don’t cry (maybe a pinch of envy/nostalgia, sure) because I can’t play from the time I get home til bedtime and 12 hours on weekend days...
