Content...where art thou?

Most of you regulars know I'm not much of a complainer. I'm not good enough at online play to see the gameplay issues and I'm still new enough that I love all the content despite it being similar year after year (from what I hear).
I was bummed when Team Affinity was canceled because it provided a ton of grindable content for offline players, but have learned to like this year's game almost as much as last year's.
Still, it feels like it fell off a cliff this week. I know the year is over and according to Twitter the game is dead, but I was surprised that absolutely nothing new was released for the holiday 4 day weekend. Am I being unreasonable? I feel like at least a new conquest or some new missions, anything would have been nice.
Should we expect anything else this year other than the forever program and a few more events?

Get into a league. That will take some of your time. I still have the conquest maps from this program and three others to do as well as the finest and milestone programs. I just finished the postseason program on Friday. A league will keep you busy enough to where the content will seem to always be there.
The one I’m in is directional Veteran hitting and HOF pitching against legendary teams. Gamers can use any cards they want but they are locked. You have to meet goals in order to be able to swap however many cards the goal gets you. All 30 teams are being used and most of them are CPU run. We are making a run for playoff eligibility now. The goal is to finish the regular season by 12/10. The next season will be zone hitting and we’ll begin with 90s teams until we hit a certain number of games and then we’ll go up 2 OVR. This will go on until we are at 99 OVR. You get 5 players that nobody else can use.
Yeah, league play can get very time-consuming. PM me if you want info on the league.

I'm thinking one more Mini Seasons, Event, BR Program, and Ranked Seasons. That will take us into the New Year.
Maybe a couple Conquest maps in the Forever Program; but that's about it.
Pretty sure once Jan comes around focus will be on 23.

Solid advice, I just joined a league with some good dudes in here and you are right, it has helped a lot not just in keeping me busy with this game but making me hit better. I remember last year I could milk the TA programs for a month so I guess I'm not doing that as well with the featured programs. The leagues you're talking about sound cool.

This is the part of the year that we could use RIB.

Agreed. I suppose I could try to grind out 250 innings but I really don't love RS, plus at the rate Randy is selling, I should have him in a week or so. Events and BR are fun so once those reset, that'll be an option.
As for offline grindable content, RIB would be great. Or perhaps they could add more layers to Mini Seasons. In Theory, they are just like RIB in that you can redo the missions...Basically I'm doing that with a different roster each time. My AL East team was a lot of fun. It's right aboit now that I miss how huge Team Affinity was.

The only way I know there's an issue with MLBTS is if YOU ever complain.

some of the guys here give good advice mate - get a league to play in and it adds some depth to the game for sure - we even had trophies in our old league here years ago

I'll be honest I have played very little of mini seasons this year. I have not even finished one. It will most likely be what I try when i want to play some more.
But, I am about done. I usually don't play into the new year. I like to take a few months off so I can recharge a bit before the next version.
-
I would hope you're a fan of other sports games because there won't be much new stuff here.
NHL '23 is slowly taking me away and I just got NBA '2K23 which was 50 % off and will be getting into that although the real NBA season has no juice atm. -
I just bought BannerLord 2, so that will likely take up a lot of my gaming time.
-
Well, no new rewards for BR 10 so that answers the questions somewhat.

Ill only play so I can get Seager. I have Trout and Johnson. I think after I finish the BR program, I may be done for the year after I get Randy in Ranked. I wanted to get 100 P5 players in this years game, but I am far off and I am starting to lose interest.
