Not getting any sound

Not getting any sound on the ps5 version. But, have sound on ps4 version. It was working fine earlier. Checked my settings. Any ideas?

How are you connecting your PS5 to your monitor and does your monitor have speakers?
Check your PS5 settings for audio output to make sure your set output is what is connected. As a test you can set your controller as the output to see if sound is present.

ps5 is set up to tv through hdmi. All other games are getting sound without a problem. I have checked the sound settings on the game, and can't see where the issue is. However, when I plug in headphones to the controller, I can get sound.

If you’re getting sound from MLBTS through your controller, then the game is putting out sound. It’s either a setting in your PS5 or TV.
Since you’re getting sound from other games on your TV, then I would look more carefully at the settings in the PS5.
I don’t know of a sound setting in the game to choose where your sound output is sent, but when I get on my console later this morning, I will scrounge around the settings to see.
Edit: Yeah, I didn't find any output settings in the game itself. There are several sound settings in the console, though. Maybe play with those to see if you can get the sound to work. Your TV may also have specific sound settings that can be adjusted. Maybe, and I'm not sure about this, but maybe your TV is set in a manner where it cannot output the sound from the game. I don't see how that is possible, but in cases like this, you must try everything possible to eliminate one piece at a time.

Try deleting and reinstalling the PS5 version.

Got it fixed. It was a problem with the HDMI cord. Which is weird that it only affected the ps5 version of MLBTS. Not every other game I have on it.
But, I do really appreciate your help. Thank you!

Thank you for the advise. I was going to go that route until I figured out what the problem was. Glad I didn't have to. I even went to the trouble of backing up all the game save files. Thank you again!

No problem I had similar issue with GTA4 on PS3 ten years ago and uninstalling/reinstalling worked which is why I suggested it. Glad it was an even easier fix!
