To those that have played it a lot, are the pitchers always the same? If so, who are the last 3 or 4? I assume the last one is Randy. I’m at 50% on the showdown and at 76 points on the program.

Yes the pitchers and order they come in are always the same. The last 3 are Chapman, Nolan and Randy. Good luck, its rough once you get to that point.

It’s only rough when you don’t use that cheese tutorial batting trick to only get meatballs in the middle lol

Turn on the tutorial settings in the main options but only the one for battings tips and save. Now you get around 5 perfect meatball pitches by switching hitting modes. So if you’re doing extreme, all you have to do is follow the simple guide on screen and press x to hit. Reset it by getting into a play vs cpu game with your dd team and once that game loads you can instantly exit and you get all those batting tips/tutorial pitches again

1)Yeah, for starters, is your batting and tutorial tips on in your main game settings? If not turn just those two on and save.

2)now go into any hitting moment or any showdown and enter the game. I usually make sure that my hitting interface is Zone, buttons, and flick to start.

3)follow the onscreen prompts. The pitcher will throw the ball to where your pci is located in the zone. Right before the ball gets to you, another prompt will show up and the ball will freeze in mid air during this so you don’t have to try and swing. It’ll tell you to use contact, normal or power swing(up to you what you choose).

4)now once you read that prompt all you have to do is swing. Most of the time you’ll hit a homerun or line drive, but if you time you swing just a hair off you’ll foul it off.

    1. if you don’t get your homerun or hit etc then pause instantly, go into batting settings and change your zone to directional input. So it’ll be directional, buttons, flick. This then gives you another tutorial at bat but with directional hitting. Try to time it right and if you fail again, pause and change it to zone, analog flick. Repeat and if you fail again, switch to directional analog flick. Again if you don’t succeed with it, pause and change your hitting interface to zone analog stride.

    2. after these attempts if you didn’t pass the moment or showdown, you need to reset the tutorial hitting again by going into your diamond dynasty play vs cpu game and once the cpu game loads up, you pause and exit that game.

    3. now you have reset all the hitting interfaces again to try your luck.

After losing to Randy by 1, now I can not get past Helsley. Lost 5 in a row.

Bravo to you guys who beat it. Seriously job well done! I knew if I didn’t beat Randy I’d Probly never get back. Make it 0-6 vs Helsley.

I honestly have no clue how I even made it as far as Randy. I have 1 hit in 45 at bats vs Helsley.

I finally got Donaldson. Gave up on showdown. Did all but 2 of the moments.

This seems so painful and frustrating. With so much rng in the game, why do it? It's like the Dark Souls of MLB the Show...
