Homerun Derby tiebreakers

This has been a problem for the past few years, the homerun derby tiebreaker is supposed to come down to the longest homerun. The problem is that it only works half the time. I’ve found myself losing a number of derbies where the player I should have beaten because I had the longerst homerun ends up winning by the system defaulting to them.

Side note: I’ve also lost some derbies this year because the system says I’ve been eliminated when I clearly advanced to the next round. Anyone else have this problem?
