Why is Finest Rivera's Price Climbing?
-
I am on the market a lot, but don't always flip a lot
One card price that makes no sense to me is Finest Rivera. His price had been steady from about 10/7 through 10/17. Last 2 days however his Sell Now price has gone up from from. The 300k-340k range to 420k-440k range. Why the 100k jump on a card that will be included in the 225 inning pack on 11/14 and his price will be pretty much cut in half? -
I’m going to maybe assume from the influx of headliner packs and he’s a very sought after card? The rich got richer in this program imo. I watch the market frequently and was wondering the same thing yesterday.

Maybe several people decided to buy now, rather than play the bidding game, which made his lowest buy now considerably higher that before which drove up the sell now price. This is certainly not a card one should consider flipping.

Isn't he a World Series reward? The season just changed, and I'm sure any world series picks at this point are going to the two new rewards that are at a million stubs. Supply is going to dry up quick.
-
^ This is the way.
Utley (the other WS Reward) is doing the exact same thing.
-
There is no new supply coming in. Why pick Rivera or Utley when Halladay amd Piazza are going for a milli
-
That’s because his in the World Series pack not the 225 inning ones. So people gotta grind out 250 innings or make WS. Either way it’s work

People had to do that when his price was 296k and he was newer than he is now. My gut feeling is that based on the speed of offers coming in and the nature of his offers, someone is controlling that price.

Because that 1 mil is consistent across multiple top buyers. Not the same for Rivera or Utley.
-
He is one of the pitchers that has enough junk to get good players out.
-
Takashi Wagner has spiked as well.
Glad I got him at 166K!! -
I got Rivera at 300k, just seemed like the right guy to spend a boatload on. Only a few guys I would spend big on, he's 1 and Ted Williams would be the other.
