RTTS is terrible

I apologize if this is old news, but I had to make sure I wasn't wrong. Here are the things I've noticed compared to 2019 which is the last game I bought.
They've taken out so much from the mode and I can't find many people commenting on it, although I only looked a couple articles.
The Showcase game is gone, so you have no chance to impact your draft position. This was never that fun, but not having it makes it so much worse because there's no connection to the draft and which round you're picked.
I think the archetype system is worse in 22 even though I like the ability to create and switch between different versions of my player. For example, they have the slugger and speedy archetype which gives you massive boosts to your stats in those areas. But now I feel like I have two players because the skill sets are so different. I suppose it's fine and you only have to choose one if you want. I guess they were trying to give people more control. But I liked the old archetype system because it felt more like you had a specific type of player.
There are also many other things that were removed or never happened for me like they did in 2019. Or maybe I haven't played enough but I'm in season two and all the game has me doing is playing games. As an example, I've only talked to my agent twice. This happened once at the beginning of the mode when you get drafted and then another time at the end of the season. In 2019, I remember that your agent would check in throughout the year and you could call them if you wanted. This interaction has been removed. So if you want to be traded you have to wait until the agent calls once a year.
Training modes. They removed the ability to gain stats from hitting, base stealing, and fielding modes. Instead they made these practice modes available to play whenever you want, but you can't gain anything from them. All the training points are reserved for the boring mini games like squats and the mobile thing where you have to hit the balls in the red zone. Or the ones you just choose and it gives you points. This was a huge error as the actual hitting and base stealing were fun.
They removed the option to interact with teammates and rivals. This was always kind of useless but receiving a phone call from a rival once in a while at least broke up some of the repetition between games. What is even more weird is that there is still an interaction screen which shows your relationship with your teammates, but there's no ability to improve the relationship besides just playing games.
Odd things. I was in a massive slump after getting called to the majors. I've read some other people complain about this but it felt like the game was making me lose. My first few games in the majors I was hitting well but then suddenly I couldn't hit anything. Every ball was a flyout even with good swings. The manager told me that I had to get better and put me on notice. So I got even worse and batting average slipped to just over 200. Then I got called into the manager's office, and he told me that I was doing good and wasn't on notice. loL! This was the only dynamic experience I had in this game so far.
In 2019, I had coaches ask me to change positions and then the game would allow you to change your archetype if you wanted. You could also have a second position whereas you can't in 22 from what I can see. So with being able to ask for trades, change positions, have challenges and missions, interact with teammates, get special boosts, and more 2019 was so much better for RTTS. And the weird thing is that 2019 was still watered down because it never went far enough. I remember getting annoyed having some teammate come up to me and ask for help. But even those simple dialogue scenes was at least something. Now the mode is even worse and I want to download 2019 again.
RTTS has always been disappointing but in 2019 all those other things gave you something extra. Now all there is to do in 22 is change your equipment between games. It sucks because RTTS was addictive even though it lacked a lot. But in 22 it feels like they started over.
Or am I wrong?

You are correct. They did start over with a lot. This was for two main reason: They made it so you could use your RTTS player in DD and they made it so you could play as a two way player. With the rise of Ohtani they had to put in a way to make 2 way possible, and like you said "RTTS has always been disappointing..."
Last year was far from perfect, but better than this year because people complained that it was different from prior years. The stupid tech tree was brought back as perks and instead of being able to change archetypes between games you now can only switch loadouts, but the only archetype allowed is the one you start with. I'm sure this has something to do with making sure people can't use two RTTS players on their DD team, but I can't say for sure.
Do you only play RTTS? Do you mainly play RTTS? For most people that's a no. For me, I don't touch Franchise and will spend half my time playing DD and split the other half between RTTS and MTO. I think I'm in the very small minority with that. After I'm done with the last program, I will no longer play DD and switch to RTTS and MTO only. Others will stop playing MLBTS all together.
What needs to be done with a portion of a game that is seldom used? They made it so you can use it with their most used part of the game thereby making it more relevant to more people. So, you can no longer increase your players attributes until they're all full and you can only have one RTTS player publicly associated with your account at a time (your active player.) That seems reasonable to me because the other option would be getting rid of an unused portion of a game.
If you need to go back to 2019 to get your RTTS fix, please do. As one of the few that play it a lot, I'll stick to far superior program that's finally relevant to the overall game.
If you have any ideas to improve the game that isn't "this sucks because it's different," please suggest it. You're saying "I don't like it because they took out a part I thought was stupid, but I want it back." You're not the first to say that. It was a lot more common last year. Also like last year there is 1 RTTS thread for 25 DD threads. (Just a guess, but I'm probably close, and that's not including posts.)
Here is constructive criticism.
It would be helpful if we could separate our pitcher/position player stat upgrades into two separate archetypes.
Non constructive criticism.
RTTS is terrible. I'm going back to 2019. Everything was so much better pre-covid...
If you really think this game is terrible, go play another. See you tomorrow.

I personally am only playing 2021 and 20 as I still have a lot to do on them. My biggest complaint is that the mode feels like it's just a never ending string of single games. None of what you do has any meaning to a career mode. You don't interact with the fans, media, your teammates, fellow players around the league or your own agent.
Salaries mean nothing because you do not do anything with the money. You don't see a chance to see a lifestyle change once you make it big, nor do you see what happens if you turn out to be a bust. I never bother negotiating as the money is pointless. I simply am signing small 1-2 year contracts in case the team starts going south quickly.
This marks a return to playing since my RBI baseball days, and they didn't have online in those days, but the gameplay was far more fun. I won't say it was superior or inferior, but I just enjoyed the various modes more. I won't bother complaining about RTTS as I suspect they are going to phase that out and just have everyone's CAP in DD and be done with it. I don't know if that's good or bad, just what I think will happen going forward.
