After seeing the second Griffey 99, I think SDS could do anything at this point. It'll be fun to see what besides the postseason cards pop up as we get into November.
What is that supposed to mean?

99 Randy Johnson card lol
Very possible Clemente has 2 99's so it is feasible. Might even see a Chase Utley finest as well.
Isn’t Chase Utley’s 99 a Finest already?
Yes it is, i used the name as an example not neccicarily the card type.
Do you mean as a reason why we don’t need two Randy Johnson 99s, just like we don’t need another highly attributed Utley?
Why not? Don't you like diversity? Don't you like having the choice of whether or not be able to collect every card or just play the game and be able to earn it? Because frankly i'm not a robot i like decision making for myself.

Sorry, I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. If it’s about having more than 1 Chase Utley, he has at least three cards to choose from. So does Randy Johnson. If you are referring to something else, we’ll, I just cannot help.

99 Randy Johnson card lol
Someone just gave me the info about you being a known troll. I guess I should have known by that “lol” thing in your post. Thanks for wasting my time.
I’ve probably posted on here 3 times so you got some bad info bud
Okay, I will take you on your word. I know people treated me bad when I first posted. I was speaking the truth on Randy Johnson though. I hope I was some sort of help. I tried to be, but it’s hard to say why SDS does some things. Like: why did they put a Griffey that said 99 on it, knowing it wasn’t a 99 card? No one knows. When I asked should I get Randy or buy the new Kluber, I was told Randy by far. Attributes don’t mean everything, especially with pitchers.
Based off things you say in your post sounds like you are fairly new to MLBTS so i will enlighten you! There can be several 99's of a player card and they all will play as 99's. The difference is the card type, for instance a Signature card represents a players whole career with an avg to his attributes for a whole career. Whereas a Finest card will have a date associated with it that represents a specific year and those attributes will be for that year only. So on and so forth. So yes any card could have multiple 99 overall versions if the player is deserving based off career. Hope this explains the confusion you seem to be having on this issue.

I feel that they set it up to have a 99 Ohtani card be the final we saw the card art at the beginning of the year. I just don't see how they can increase the amount of rookie and allstars now when they are realeasing only 1 each BR round. I liked when they required you to collect all the classic stadiums and the people who had collected them early on had them and the prices for them sky rocketed. They also gave you program starts for completeing them at the end.
In 2020 the last program with a boss was a single boss and it was Griffey. So I would think if they were going to redo a Randy Johnson or Mickey or Ohtani then it would be the last program boss.

You don't think the Takahashi card is the final Mays?

It's a pretty sad day if it is. Especially when these Topps Now cards have more power and contact for having a couple of great games in a week versus a guy who at P4 has less. He is one of the greatest if not the greatest player of all time. His Takahashi card is more of an insult than a great 99.

You guys are insane if you think they are going to make a big collection with Randy Johnson, you all have lost your mind. Aside from the fact that he was the LS collection reward, he already has the best card (according to everyone I speak or listen to about it) out of any SP.
I never said collection…
You didn’t, but a few other people after you alluded to it. Aside from Clemente, players like Griffey, Gehrig, and Mays never got a real 99. Especially Griffey’s card. Now, I could be wrong because this year has been strange; but, why would they make a second card of the best SP in the game?
his card attributes don’t really say he’s the best pitcher in the game compared to cards that are being released now. A lot of other players have multiple 99 cards so why not give another to the new legend that everyone wanted
I don’t mind if he gets another card. I am just telling you it is unlikely. Unlike Randy, Clemente does not start on most teams. You are correct that there is a chance, I would have said Clemente isn’t getting another card if you asked me the same thing before he did. Clemente, unlike Randy, is the first Hispanic to play in the MLB; plus, they have a designated day for Clemente. I don’t remember if they gave the card on his day or not. So, should the best pitching card in the game get a second card, I don’t see a reason; would I mind? Not at all.
Havent read past this post but Clemente was no where close to the first Hispanic to play MLB.

Sorry, you are probably right. He was the first Latin American who was a big star. For some reason I thought he was the first Hispanic. Sorry,
I know a lot, but not everything. Thanks for letting me know though. -

He was the best all around player (at least top 3) to play the game. The card is good, but not Mays good. Same with Gehrig.

I understand that but they do that to keep players relevant in the game. Same reason why they did the tiers for the parallel because after a couple of programs in a few years back and no one was using live series cards

I just took a quick glance at the Takahashi series cards and most have another card with better ratings. As good a player as Mays ways, I’d hate to think SDS would do his legacy the disservice of making his final card in ANY year of The Show, one that does not replicate his best season, era or career.
