I respectfully disagree. There are folks new to the game this year that see a 99 as that players best card. They are obviously learning as we go that it is not necessarily the case. I also remember quite a few folks on the initial Griffey 2nd half release thread stating they would have preferred it had been a 97 or 98 instead of 99.
