Remove strike zone lines/black
-
Seems like it would excite even more angst about someone’s perceived “clearly a strike” not getting called.
At that point they should remove PCI as well.
And the ball catch area.
And the throw meter.
Let people figure all that out by trial and error.

People would load up a previous version of the show and tape or mark their monitors where the strike zone is probably

That's the great thing though, the strike zone size changes with each batter. Like Judge's strike zone is way bigger than someone like Altuve or Joe Morgan.

I think there are only 2 or 3 different size strike zones. I like the idea, but I know what the community would do

So they used have events with strike zone off. I do not remember it being well received by the community.

I think I’m on to something….let it be an extreme ranked mode. Include more elite cards; same path as regular ranked but require more points, more innings played, etc.
I demand to see new complaints!!!!

Great idea, I personally turn SZ off anyway because it distracts me from focusing my eyes on where I believe it's release point will be until the opposing pitcher starts his delivery. Probably just me but having a longer time allows me to relax and my eyes to filter out some of the distractions in the back ground. I had always turned Hot Zones off due to distraction while hitting but since turning SZ off I now use them as a general guide to the zone

(Disclaimer) I’m an Xbox player so I didn’t start playing until The Show 20… but it seems like you can put the ball on the line/black whenever you want. There’s no painted strike zone whenever a pitcher is pitching in real life, so I would request removing the lines/black from online play while pitching and hitting. It’s seems ridiculous how often pitchers are able to put the ball right on the lines for a strike every rip. Let players figure out the edges of the strike zone on their own.
Interesting call. I actually play with strikezone off myself to help add realism.
It helps reduce my frustration at all the dots I receive (the post pitch data on a taken pitch doesn’t include the strike zone lines), and forces myself to approach my pitching in a realistic way (which is actually more enjoyable for me).
At times during the year I also remove my PCI for similar reasons.
Maybe you could tie your suggestions into a “sim mode..”
However I doubt it would become the meta game mode though.

Every pitcher dots every pitch all the time always.
