Return of the 90’s braves?

The 90s Braves had numerous no doubt hall of fame players in their core. They won 14 straight division titles.
The Braves of today have a long way to go before I’d make that comparison.
That’s why I posed it as question, could this current Braves core end up as good as the 90’s core?.

Depends on how you define good. They might win more WS, as that was the flaw of the 90s team. But there’s no chance of them matching the regular season consistency of success.

The main problem with the Braves this year is how much they strike out. They rely a lot on the long ball. That's why the Mets have been good this year, they work the count and have long at bats. To say I'm not scared of the Braves as a Mets fan would be a lie but I'm confident in this Mets team.

The only problem I see with them is that they gave ab 8 yr $72M extension to someone that has played a total of 70+ games.
There is a reason you aren't a GM.

The Braves look like they are going to be a problem for a decade at least.
Braves had Smoltz, Maddux, Glavine, and Avery who stayed good (and healthy!) for a decade. There’s no way to predict whether the current starters can match both the production and durability as of yet.
