Brewers blow 3 leads and get swept by Pitt after Hader trade
-
This might go down as THE Brewers worst trade EVER. Getting rid of Hader while in first place bc of budget and seeing your BP cough up 3 leads in 3 games has to be deflating
What was that GM thinking, you deal with budget AFTER the season if youre in 1st, oh and they release one of the return pieces for good measure in Lamet
Wow

Devin Williams looked pretty upset when he was interviewed following the trade, can't imagine what was going through David Sterns head when he made that move, it will look really bad if the Brewers blow their lead in the standings and miss or get knocked out in the wild card game.

Cards picked up ground and will take first with a win this evening. OK by me!

I thought it was a decent trade. The OFer they got has really good minor league numbers. Don’t know why they dropped Lamet though.

Do we get another great Nootbaar Topps Now card for his walk off in the bottom of the 9th?

It was on mlb.com. they dropped him because of the 13 pitchers rule. the pitcher they could send down is Suter but hes out of options and is having a better season.
He was included in the trade to more even out the salaries being exchanged, usually the team will send cash but the padres were kinda stuck with him too cause they maxed the times he could be optioned in a season so they made it the brewers problem. -

That is why the Cardinals traded Edmundo Sosa. They wanted to bring DeJong back up but Sosa was out of options and they were afraid he would be claimed so they got what they could for him.

I saw that interview. He even said: 'I want to win.'
He seemed dumbfounded by the move. -
