How to fix The Show gameplay and make it the best Baseball game ever!

I think SDS should just buy Pawapuro Production, the development house that makes Pro Yakyuu Spirits, the Japanese baseball game. Then SDS should keep the content team and just replace the gameplay team with the Pawapuro Production gameplay team!
I my opinion, that combination would make the best baseball game ever produced!

They should just dump the hitting engine and call in Mrs. Johnsons second grade art and science class to take over production… they would be more competent

Just watched a video of the game. Looks ok but the graphics seem a little lacking. With a little work it might be a good one.

Nothing will save it. It's plateaued, and it's clear that SDS like its hitting engine (!!!!) and is focused on supporting last-gen, cross-play, micro-transaction based modes.
Uninstalled a few minutes ago. Going to enjoy real games for a while. Sports games these past 10 years have been the [censored] worst.

Man, the RNG and comeback logic in this game is real. I’m totally cool with rocking dudes and getting rocked based on skill but just stop with the RNG. It makes the game so much less rewarding.

WOW SDS, just WOW!!!!
I just played the Phillies on Rookie with a stacked All-Star squad to grind PXP and won 4-1. Squaring up balls with a PCI bigger than the strike zone and balls are routine pop ups! Yet I beat the Whales god squad on Legend 4-0 for the mission in mini seasons and that was with just my regular squad and I hit 3 home runs in that game. With 1 HR not even on the PCI!!!
I have been playing this game since 08 and I don't understand how your hitting engine and logic has gotten worse over a 14 year period!!!

Yes agree. Those are ps4 graphics that haven't really been updated since 2019. Combining SDS graphics and content with that games game-play logic and fluidity would be awesome.

I could name a million improvements I'd suggest for the game, including tweaking hitting a bit, but I really don't understand what everyone's issue is with the hitting engine. It's fine, and it replicates real baseball pretty well. People seem to complain about RNG but for one, that's pretty realistic. And two, just watch top players on YouTube and twitch...They don't have many issues with RNG. The best players seem to win the vast majority of the time, so there's obviously skill involved.

There is no hitting logic with this stale engine and stale studio, nor is there any mathematical/odds logic on conquest sims. Too many times I go in with a 20 hexagon to a 1 or 2 enemy hexagon and see it dwindled to like 5

I like the game. Only change I would makes is everyone has to use same hitting. 100% zone hitting, nothing else.

Everyone responsible for gameplay should get their walking papers. Especially that weirdo from SDS that was wearing sunglasses in doors during the stream like he’s famous or something lol. He thought it was funny to mock the whole “everything is playing as intended”. That guy is corny.

It's as easy as going back to 17's hitting engine before the "just late" patch and fix nonchalant fielding, but that would scare away all the noobs/casuals who dump money into this game
