Conquest

So some of the missions are “conquer all al west” or “conquer nl central.” What happens if some of those teams are taken over by other teams?

You have to capture the strongholds, not the teams. So it doesn't matter who is occupying it.

What GatorMike said. Missions take into account the original owner of the stronghold, not whoever's holding it when you beat them.
