Today's stream...what was the point?
-
I'm sure someone will jump on me and that's fine. But usually when they have a stream they reveal something. Halladay is awesome. I'm excited about him but that's been obvious for a week and they announced it on Twitter.
Other than Jazz creating a cool card that only he can use, what was the point of the stream? It felt pretty flat for me.
Ok, I'm open for all criticism coming my way. I'm definitely trying to be open to the content this year but this program feels a little barren

I agree that they seemed to mail in the content this round

Intro-ing the program.
It’s only 2 weeks. Put too much in there and people go bananas saying “everything’s unreachable!”
They haven’t said anything about the next one, but I’d wager the next one is longer to compensate.

I agree the stream was kind of pointless as far as new info but it did show us the path and some attributes.
The program I think is fine for a 2 week program myself. Not gonna bash anyone for not doing cartwheels over it tho.

pointless is a great way to describe the SDS spirit over the past years
-
i was hoping the first big collection would be revealed.

It was interesting if only for Ramone being candid about the tweak to foul balls being subtle for now. We all remember the big pendulum swings from other years that would screw the timing windows and introduce other bugs; going from check swings 100% to 5% last year.
But I agree, the Halladay reveal on Twitter had me perplexed. We all knew, but wanted to see it and could have gotten more eyeballs had they waited.

Yeah, does anyone know what their normal audience size is for these streams? It said only 3k on YouTube. I get that not everyone watches live, others watch on Twitch and many don't watch at all but still, that seems like pretty low engagement.
As for the program itself, it's perfectly fine for a two week program. I like that you get Hamels, Oswalt and others along the way but they didn't even really show the path. It's just very bland.

you are right buddy it is SUPER low engagement for a company of that size
you could pay less than 2K a month in marketing to have hundreds of thousands of streams / views
