Just saw the teaser for the new conquest map releasing tomorrow. I was happy to see that you only start with 13 fans, so I trust that means no "Capture the Pirates stronghold on Turn 1" type missions. I really hate those because I don't like to be told how to play. The game is a lot more fun (for me, anyway) when there are multiple paths to accomplish the goal.

It's my biggest peeve with the POTM and other programs this year. They're strictly linear with no flexibility for completing them. Get this player, grind these missions, get next player, grind these missions, do showdown, get new player grind more missions. Didn't used to be this way, but I guess this is easier on the developers and folks that invent the programs.

Dude, play it however you want and finish the map. Then go back in and beat the Pirates on your first turn. Problem
    Solved.

I am not a fan of the new POTM programs either. I don't believe it is easier for them this way, I honestly think that they did it to purposely make the program take more than a day or two for the the average player.

But like most things SDS does, I think hey over corrected.
