Grinding showdown

I really enjoy grinding showdown. I imagine stage 2 to be harder difficulties which it should be. I just wish there was an over all success stat. I’ve grinded 5 so far Torres, Olson, Gallo, Bell & Albies (2 times each to get 40 affinity points to get within 10 of FOTF then swap rivals for an extra 10 points) and guessing I’m about 70%. 2nd boss is always more difficult for me then the final boss. I’m golden if I’ve gone 10-15 at final boss. Sale was a little difficult. NL East and NL central was cake.
SDS can we have an overall success stat recording? Not just the stat once completed about mission success completion? People would be able to see if there profiting stubs or losing stubs then also in the process once the difficulties get harder.

It would be cool if they kept your stats throughout the course of the showdown run. BA/HR/RBI, etc. what’s your strategy for drafting during a showdown run? Typically I go for vision and power from a hitting standpoint. For pitching I typically try to draft 1 silver SP and 1 silver closer/reliever. You’ve had good success so it would be cool to hear your opinion on this

Best approach is to draft the best hitters according to the handiness of the pitcher. No final boss is left handed so I try to get as many lefty’s as possible, but try to ensure they can hit lefty’s decently in the mini battles. Also righty’s with good contact against lefty’s and rightys

I had no clue there were no left handed bosses. That’s a huge difference maker. I typically try to mix up my choices based on a balance of righties and lefties. May have to rethink that strategy. Do you typically try to complete the entire showdown or do you jump to the final boss? My approach has been to play every moment to try and accumulate the best cards and the most amount of runs possible.

@mrwonderful95 Hader is final boss in the NL central. He’s easy. Sit on fb lay off slider, he walked like 3 batters of mine. My strategies are to use power swing more often then you regularly would, especially in favorable count. I target high rather then low. (More good/ good ground ball base hits vs low good/good routine fly outs.) Be patient. I take more pitches in showdown then I do RS. I chose a good closer and lay off most starters. An 80 average starter gets the job done. All hitting perks especially the one with contact boost with runners in scoring position. Power batters > contact batters. Platoon bench. 2 catchers! I can’t stress this enough. Even if 2nd one sucks. You can platoon swap your catcher in key situation but if you don’t have a back up your F ed. Take the count full with weak batters and don’t mind striking out if double play is at risk. Don’t chase low strikes with double play risks. Target center or above. Have a speedster or 2 on your bench for the go ahead, close ones with boss. Mb your winning run is at first and you got 2 outs left, that speedster could make or break you pulling out the victory. Hope this helps

I want as many runs as possible to make it easier -
