What does Label Hit MPH mean and does it play a factor with hitting?

Can someone explain to me what label hit mph means? I hit a Good timing middle of pci (14) pop up on a change up with Mike Trout... I looked at the label hit mph and it says 8. I don’t know what that means. Does that play a factor into why it was a pop up?

It means how squared up you hit the ball. 8 is pretty good, but 10-11 is perfect. Most good contact is 8-9 in this game. Sounds like you probably were just a bit early and got under it.

Thank you! And bro I’m telling you it was center pci. Ball was covered by the pci. I wish I could show you bc I screen recorded it and everything. I wasn’t under or any literally maybe by a centimeter but not enough for it to be a pop up you know. I mean the game rewarded me with a off ball pci late hr with pujols after bc they knew the trout out should’ve been a hit but still lol

Sounds like RNG wasn't on your side at that moment. It's happened more this year with contact than any past years game. It's awful.
