Yea you can but that’s not going to fix SDS servers by him turning off cross play. If he turns it off, he’s still gonna have to deal with SDS server issues.

Yet the servers were pretty much the same 2 short years ago when there was no x box or switch. Heck I have had only 1 freeze in last 2 years. Back then it happened more often.

All of these issues with online play having bugs, glitches, lagging, freezing, graphic distortion, etc, etc. IMO it's due to SDS servers not being able to Sync all these console platform together to play against each other. Therefore. If you on PS4, then the system should only match you with those on PS4 & "NOT" with anyone that is "NOT" PS4. The same game match-up making with PS5 for PS5 only. Xbox One for Xbox One only, Xbox Series X for Xbox Series X only & finally Nintendo Switch for Nintendo Switch only. The downside to this would maybe be waiting longer to find someone to match you up with & being told to try again later. But I really dont think that will be the case during peak hours. I rather wait a lil longer to have a better quality of online gaming then to be matched up within seconds & then have to put up with poor quality online game play. By "Quality" I am referring to having bugs, glitches, lagging, freezing, graphic distortion, etc, etc.
The difference would be instead of having only 1 server to handle software conversion of 5 different consoles. There will be 5 servers, 1 for each console & then there will be so much more less issues with software conversion as to how it is right now currently & so badly at that.
You didn’t play mlb back in like 2015/2016 when the ball would be hit into the outfield and you couldn’t see anything, after like five seconds it would fast forward to the action. You had to guess how many bases to take on a hit to the gap.

Think about what you just finished saying with that we have always had server problems before when it was ONLY 1 console. Look how worse the issues are now currently & there now being 5 different consoles. So common sense & logic will conclude that 1 server handling 5 different consoles what is leading to all the ADDED issues this year.
I will happily put up with the server issues we had back in 18, 19 & 20 then compared to the issues we are putting up right now with.

It's ONLY controlling if I want to cross play or not. Even if turned off. Those from PS4 I am being matched up with is STILL coming from the same source or ONLY 1 server handling all the Bandwidth & Software Conversions f 5 different consoles. I work in the Computer IT dept for a firm. I'm not a 16 year kid. So what I do say does hold merit. I can NOT say for sure because I am NOT at SDS to inspect their servers & software being used. However based on what I am seeing. In My PROFESSIONAL opinion. The problem is using ONLY 1 sever across multiple platforms. It's the equivalent or trying to get Microsoft, Mac & ChromeBook to run the same program all together within each other at the same time under 1 server & that 1 server converting all the software of 3 different operating systems to be properly in sync.

If crossplay really was the problem then the servers should have been a much bigger issue last year. Outside of launch they really weren’t any worse than previous years.
