I've heard a lot of complaints about these cards being too OP. But here are my thoughts.

Diamond Dynasty is a fantasy card collecting mode.

When I was a kid (the 80s), I was an avid baseball card collector.

Ripping open packs, I was hoping for rookies/future stars. THESE were the sought-after cards, NOT the established superstars.

I remember the excitement of pulling a Griffey rookie. Or even the excitement of pulling a Ricky Jordan rookie (i think that was the name of a Philly prospect).

Some rookie cards took off in value when the player proved their greatness like Griffey, while others like Jordan, flamed out.

But the point was, at least at first, the top prospects were the MOST VALUABLE, regardless of the fact they had yet to prove themselves.

Just a different opinion for you to consider.

That is still the goal with real life card collecting.

In a game where you want to pull the best players because they are proven and have better attributes though, prospects mean nothing.

That being said, I still enjoy the prospect and future star cards. I simply wish they changed them to Bowman cards. It’s already a Topps product and in RTTS.

Yeah I'd love Bowman Chrome rookie cards.

I really like the prospect cards as they have started helping me target specific golds and silvers for the launch phase of the game. Prior to the addition of prospect cards I was flying blind with younger players getting promotions.

The "Fantasy" aspect of it is being able to create your own Team with it's Name, Location, Uniform. Logo & Colors. Building your own personal version of a Dream Team from cards you own within your personal inventory. The beauty of Having the best of current & past players. Either chosen by the Card's OVR & Attributes or just out of personal sentiment & favoritism. With many active & past players to have certain Class Cards released giving them better attributes in certain areas & making them more luring & appealing to be sort after & used. Is all good. That's the proven successful Blue Print of any game that relies on content collection. "Gotta Catch Them All"

However the Future & Prospect cards takes "Fantasy" to a way different level & is over killed. Cards created on the whims of the developers to feed more content into the game. But none of these players have proven themselves yet to earn such acclaim & prestige within a card made for them. It is very disturbing seeing how Prospect Julio Rodriguez can be given a card with attributes that makes him BETTER & STRONGER than Hall Of Fame Inducted Outfielders who have played 10 to 15 seasons & earned their spot in Cooperstown. Not to mention when SDS does make a card for them, it not as juiced up like these Diamond Prospects are. These guys dont even have more than 1 or 2 full seasons played yet & they have a card making them better then a real Hall of Famer

This makes no freaking sense. SDS is taking he Fantasy aspect to such an extreme & are just discrediting players who payed an entire career & paid their dues & proven themselves and they are getting cards the maxes them at being only a Silver or a Gold. Such a disgrace. I rather see content of more past players then to to see cards of players that have not proven themselves yet. What I mean by proving themselves. is having at least 5 seasons played & being a 2 time or 3 time All Star or HR Derby Champ or within top 5 for Cy Young or MVP 2 or 3 times within those 5 years. leading the league in a certain category. None of this has been done yet by any of these player Prospect cards.

Sapphire editions would be a nice graphical addition to the game if I cared more about how a card looked then it/the game played
