Why are starters always on the bench?

Anyone else notice that you roll into a lot of games with your good players sitting on the bench?

I have to check the lineup screen ingame before every at bat to see who they left out of the starting lineup.

Chances are they were on rest day. Makes sense if you think about it, on those days your team didnt play as good as they would have with starters in, so the game stayed close and that is why you were drawn into it.

If it’s in September, you will also have a lot of guys called up. It is annoying when a 62 prospect i[censored]ting and mike trout is on the bench.
