RS Innings Not Registering

So I didn't play last season so Im not sure if I missed something but...
Just played 4 innings total for 2 wins. Then played a full 9 inning game.
It's saying I only have played 8 total innings?
I'm a math teacher so I'm pretty sure 9+4=13. Not 8.
400 innings is ridiculous enough without being robbed innings I earned.

They're using common core math

How many innings did you pitch? I'm pretty sure it only counts defensive innings played

At least 11 I'd say. So something is still not right obviously.
But thanks, I didn't realize the defensive inning thing.
-
I was told there would be no math.
-
is it possible that the games that were dash boarded don't count? the only game you got innings for was the full game? Since you didnt pitch in the 9th you got 8 innings?

It seems you may be right. I lost the 9 inning game so I only pitched 8.
But my 2 wins weren't even dashboards. Just regular quits.
Either way it's absurd if they're not counting quits AGAINST you.
-
Maybe there is a 33% innings play tax?
-
but seriously...id like to know if only full RS games count? does quiting or dashboarding nullify the innings played

Yeah. I'm wondering if SDS (in typical style) tried to do the right thing by not counting innings for quitters, but effed up and nullified the innings for the winning team too?
-
So for AB stats to count you need a minimum of 8 AB in a game; if there is a quit before that or 3 total innings pitched I wonder if that is the reason in RS. I haven’t delved into RS yet (likely this season) but BR and events are designed as 3 inning games so those values don’t hold true there.
-
I second this, seems I'm getting jipped at least an inning, mostly 2, whenever I play and most are quits

Etymology lesson: jipped / gypped is actually a derogatory word referring to Romani (Roma) people; who had colloquially been referred to as “gypsies”. The remark is disparaging in the prevailing notion that they were thieves/bandits/cheats which lead to the phrasing of one being “gypped”
The more you know.

You still should've gotten 9 innings. You can't play a nine inning game and only pitch 8 innings. You can not bat 9 innings, but you're always gonna play defense for 9 innings. Unless you got Mercied in the 8th. That happened to me. Won 11-1 in the 8th and didn't get to play the 9th

You have to complete the whole inning with the same pitcher to get credit for it. If you bring a lefty in with two outs and get that out and replace him next inning you won’t get credit for that inning. Sucks being a newb to the show but I’ll help you idiots out

That’s the way it is to get credit for a inning for a pitcher but why would that affect team innings? Not saying you’re wrong but do you have any sort of proof or do you just like calling people idiots?

Yeah, nothing better than coming here, thinking highly of himself and whoops... that's not what we're talking about here, chief. Teams innings played; not stat missions for pitchers.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was right. SDS has a history of questionable decisions so it’s probably coded to only count 3 outs by 1 pitcher as an inning but I don’t know squat so there’s that too.

If you lose a 9 inning game on the road you can absolutely only pitch 8 innings
