Possible freeze from new update

I've read that some people's games are now freezing after the newest update that now allows 120 Hz capability online for the PS5.
Is this happening to people playing on a PS5 AND a PS4?

I'm just wondering if it's a PS5 issue or if it could be freezing because both systems don't support 120 Hz.
Meaning if someone using a PS5 matches up with someone using a PS4; there is a better chance of a freeze off than if two PS5, or PS4, players were matched up with each other.

My first two games froze. Orobably it was coincidence as it didn’t happen again

What does this have to do with my original post? I asked if people that were experiencing freeze offs were playing on a PS5 or on a PS4.
