But upgrading Hz doesn't necessarily improve input lag or response time. Only the very best monitors will do all 3. Hz being the least important of the 3.
A higher refresh rate can substantially reduce input lag. Playing at 120hz vs 60hz may cut your input lag in half. Of course there are other factors involved, but hz does matter to input lag. Monitor response time, however, is not as relevant as it used to be due to the current tech in today's displays all having low enough display response times (-10ms).

I think that of this is fixable on Ps5 it will be , at least I hope so . There’s no reason to allow 120 on Xbox and not on Ps5 if both are capable.
Well.what about the PS4 players?
There would be no reason for them to drop any money in onlineplay if they are at a huge disadvantage...How long would you expect game producers to keep making games for a 10 year old console? Ps5 has been out for a year. Millions have spent alot of money on the new technology, it's just time man.
I wouldn't be shocked if thats why the ps5 hasn't gotten the online upgrade tho.
Question is: are there more ps4 or ps5 users out there?
1200ish canadian bucks is no pocketchangeThe answer to this is pretty obvious

I would still disagree. It’s the biggest difference I’ve ever noticed in gaming, much more so than when I bought a monitor years ago. It’s very quickly made me not care at all about online in this game anymore because it’s just another reminder of the decade old tech and specs they still can’t get right. Baseball is fun, 60hz isn’t, it’s dog water, PHONES have better frame rates.
I play fortnite all the time with my buddies, it’s a lot easier to notice 120hz vs 60hz when it’s a combination of 20-30 button inputs compared to one swing of an at bat, but I’d double my input lag and response time to double my hz every day of the week.
And budget monitors still lower all three. My MSI monitor is 300$ with about 5ms in everything, it just doesn’t have 4K which is the true spec that doesn’t mean as much and just looks better. It also takes the price up about 600$

Try batting practice on ps5 against chapman on legend… 60 hz then boost it up to 120 hz… you will see there is in fact a difference
