    Whats going on here?

It appears nothing.... OP said an update was coming at 9 p.m. I thought he meant a statement from mods... which I admit... My mistake thinking they would comment.. He meant a software update... which appears didn't happen either?

OP is Victor, not me. I was just guessing we would get an update at this time, which I still am.

My bad. I meant you OP as to the post I was referring to.

Can you define “resolved”? Why is everything so cryptic?

Barring any setback, the fix will eliminate the matchmaking errors a user would see when they have 120hz Output enabled (on PlayStation).

So just going back through this.... Does anyone find it concerning that a couple people asked if PS5 would actually be at 120hz and he never answered just a statement it would fix the matchmaking errors when it is enabled on PS5.

Concerning yes, but the fact that MLB TS 21 couldnt even allow 120Hz but 22 could, I think they just might have been taken by surprise. I think this was eventually planned. But Sony was sneaky with this. It seems Sony applied this VRR update in a System patch about 2 weeks ago but it wasnt set to go live until this week.

True... But to not have the foresight to see this coming? I mean VRR has been talked about with PS5 now for quite some time right ? And for it to just not work is a bit ... ok not surprising at all actually.

Hey, a lot of PS people are praising Sony for taking the extra time and not having the problems with VRR that Microsoft supposably still is. I say Supposably because I hadnt seen any problems.

Yeah, I mean it's a minor inconvenience to turn it off so we can play H2H. But after having it on and playing offline, well let's just say I don't ever want to live in a SHOW world where 120hz isn't playable online. Especially if XBOXer's are getting it. Because man what a difference it made.

Lol, ahh, I remember this once in the PC World many years ago. But you ARE RIGHT. Its a game changer. Even when I started playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on my PS 4 Pro and then got it on my PC it was night and day. Even though I was close to level 300 online on PS4 I couldnt play anymore and started over from scratch on PC.

RDR2 was such a great game ! I might have to download it again. If you're into open world and havent given Elden Ring a look ( Even if you've never played a souls style game, which I hadn't before) well, it will probably be a game that I will play for as long as I possibly can. Just by far one of the best gaming experiences I've had.

I have never played a Souls game. But have seen the hype. Might have to give it a shot. I am actually playing RDR 1 right now on Series X through my 360 disk. I never played RDR 1 either.

I’d like an update and more clear communication. Will PS5 users be able to play at 120hz online or not? If so, when?

I’m very close to purchasing an Xbox and getting this game on game pass every year.

@lmvali_psn said in Matchmaking issues, and 120hz output.:

Have you played this game before? They just throw stuff out there all the time.

I’d just like some clear communication. I’m fine waiting if I know it’s coming.
