Can someone help me understand why sometimes when I induce a groundout I will get - to my H/9 and also sometimes when I induce a flyout I will get - to my HR/9. Is there some kind of Logic behind these decisions to grant + or - to a stat?
Common sense if you really think about it. HR's can only be via Fly Balls that travels over the wall for a Home-Run. So if you induce a Fly Out, then your HR/9 goes up. As to most singles coming from ground balls, line drives or bloopers, therefore if you induce a Ground Ball out, it will increase your H/9
you didnt understand my ? Many times I induce a fly ball out and get -HR/9 (not +HR/9) Same with ground outs I will get -H/9 (not +H/9)
I don't understand why a weak groundout will make my H/9 regress sometimes and others it will progress.

The difference is solid contact. If it's a pop out you could also lose power. If it's a weak ground out you could also lose contact.
