Yes, it has been on the Series X though. And it has VRR and Freesync support. PS 5 is being held back by Sony and their slow adaptation of VRR.

Ehh. I can see it from both sides. On one there are tons of people who aren't as fortunate as I am, but on the other it sucks to have an expensive piece of hardware that has yet to be catered too. It's basically a ps4++

If they start dropping FF7 Remake pt.2 and FF16 on next gen exclusively and there's still a shortage, then I may cry.

Did a quick check; still 950-1,000 up here. Still too much for a gaming device. At 25 with no kids, mortgage and only one car? Sure!
*Edit: one caveat, if they cut support for last gen, then yeah I'd swallow the price and the anger of my wife.

Apex = Console vs PC
COD = Console vs PC?? competive adavantage, just turn off cross play, if i spent more on something I should be able to run my system at a higher quality. If people complain its unfair, then thats just soft.

okay and ? turn cross play off and the advantage wont be there. Sick and tired of hearing about how money and people cant get them, I may sound entitled but its ridiculous we havent got a truly dedicated PS5 version of mlb the show. Madden and 2k both have next gen versions, the only difference with 22 next gen to old gen is create a stadium and load times.

Yeah, I would love to get my hands on one, but I'm waiting for the supply to build up. The developpers are not going to hinder their profits by going exclusive yet.
If they start dropping FF7 Remake pt.2 and FF16 on next gen exclusively and there's still a shortage, then I may cry.
We just bought a second disc version ps5 for $740 on ebay (free shipping).
The price is down considerably. When I but mine over a year ago I spent nearly 1300.
Wow, I got my ps5 last January and paid just under $900 through stockx, surprised supply is still an issue
Depends where you live; Canada is not a big market, so we get the crumbs after US, Japan and probably UK and one or two other EU countries.

Xbox users are saying that it runs at 120.. if this is true it is such a disadvantage to ps5 users… its a huge difference

i dont see how they'd hinder profits, they can still send out the old gen version, but have a next gen version similar to what madden and 2k do. But really put more effort into the next gen version.

i dont see how they'd hinder profits, they can still send out the old gen version, but have a next gen version similar to what madden and 2k do. But really put more effort into the next gen version.
That means they have to put more time in developping a lower version of the game, working on two development kits, plus the fact that physical copies are still a thing, that's more flat expenditures too. It's all about money. I think that's how they see it. For now, at least. Look at how fast PS3 and 360 got put aside when the last gen came out.
