Seriously you don't know ? Its pretty obvious to me just play an inning or 2 and you can see their gameplay doesn't match up with their batting averages and massive amount of HR's. I know when I'm paired up with a good player using zone. Here's a tip if they crush everything inside they're using directional or timing , if they crush everything thrown everywhere well that's timing and if they take pitches and then crush stuff in the strike zone then they are just good and using zone.

Unless you are stuck in the lowest divisions of Ranked Seasons then you will have a hard time getting me to believe that 50% are using timing or directional.

Ok let me re-phrase that 600 level and under are using timing. I know once I get past 600 it'll be better but getting there is a horrible experience so far.

I just feel once you get to a higher level your crappy fielding and pitching will catch up to you......

This argument comes up every year and makes me laugh so hard. As a former directional user, I moved to zone a couple of years ago because I couldn't compete/hit online as a directional hitter, especially one you hit AS level. So as a former directional hitter, I can say that, if someone is crushing balls that are significantly off the plate....that person is definitely, without a doubt, a zone hitter.

Alright....I will admit, I don't understand most of this. But I keep asking those of you who swear Timing is easier and gives an unfair advantage....do you use it? If not, why?
@Parradox-Cam_PSN, I'm not trying g to start an argument. I admit, I have no data...which you always ask for. But if you think timing gives an unfair advantage...why don't you just use it and couple your skills with the unfair edge?

You can’t look at batting averages and stats to judge how good someone is. Stats count when you play against your friends in DD. You can just pump fastballs down the middle and of stats.
Plus there is no way to know who is using timing or pci or directional. If you don’t like the game just stop playing then.

Stats carry over when you play a friendly ? And its a combo , ok ill give you a for instance , you get hits no matter where the ball is pitched close or in the strike zone - but you pitching and fielding is suspect and overall knowledge is questionable like stealing with guys with 60 speed....

I do use Timing and it’s cheesy af. I literally put in half the effort and skill against a zone opponent and if I’m lucky enough…which this year is easy to get lucky with all the fluke/bloop hits…its going to be a tough game for that zone player who’s sweating it out all the while I’m sitting back relaxing and pushing a single button.
So is that legit for competitive online games? Shouldn’t players have to do what the opponent is doing? Level playing field?
Do you see auto aim in shooters? Or cars that steer themselves in racers? Other UT games don’t offer separate options for online gameplay…why does this one?

I said around or in the strike zone everything gets smoked, I do agree with the PCI being ridiculous also
