I'm about to catch a flyball in right field and the icon that shows where the ball will land is surrounded by red lines. Sort of looks like the sun. What does this icon mean? I'm thinking it means you have little change to catch the ball cleanly or something like that.

How should I play the ball if that shows up?

I think it means your chances to make a catch are slim.
Depending on your position and the game situation (score, runners on bases, inning) you may choose to risk a catch or play it safe.

It indicates risk. You can go for the catch but risk it getting by you
