The Quality In...

The animations for legendary players has absolutely taken a nose dive which would be understandable except they had better animations in games from over 10 years ago

It seems like they've added new swing types this year. A lot more new animations swinging. But they've also, in my opinion, gone away from better representation of individual hitting and pitching styles, such as Tom Seaver.
I've said this before and I still maintain: many of the issues revolve around SDS "overproducing" this game. Do pitchers get hit by batted balls? Sure, but not to this degree. Are there home run robberies? Sure, but not this often. Are there birds at stadiums? Sure, but not to the degree they were last season. Are there hits off balls off the plate and in the dirt? Sure, but not this often. Are there there throws in the dirt at first base? Sure, but not ever third out. Etc, etc. etc...
Everything is just overproduced. They just need to tone certain things way down.
In a way, it also applies to hitting issues, I think. I've said this before, too. (Granted, I'm not a game designer), but I feel like the reason we have so many lineouts, so many perfect-perfects right to fielders, etc, is that the defense is set up for a where a hit is most likely. So, good input hitting-wise leads the ball to end up right where the defense is positioned. Get what I'm saying? Just my two cents anyway.
