Hitting/Pitching Annoying
-
I played plenty of MLB 21. I don't think I'm a great player but have made WS and usually pitch well. That said, I've been finding pitching much more annoying lately as people still can hit balls way out of the zone for foul offs. Thats always been an issue. What I've noticed after approximately 30 games is the sheer number of low or outside the zone hits that are occurring. I had an 0-2 change aimed directly in the dirt, the pci feedback after indicated the ball was well beneath the zone, and yet it gets driven in the air opposite field on late timing for a double. Also, much bigger frequency of late swing fluke singles over 1B or 3B head. I had a blast playing mlb 21, but this feels really arcadey right now. Just wondering if anyone else feels this way?

Its the swing path, an uppercut swing is optimal for launch angle.its why you see so many low ball hitters in the game now.
its why IRL pitchers are dominant with high fastballs, but hitters are starting to adjust to that too. its cyclical. -
I wholly understand swing path dynamics, but IRL balls in dirt are not driven to one hop fence. And number of late swing choppers up the middle is crazy too. I dunno, it's just hitting and pitching feel much different me this year

Gameplay feels way different this year. Pitching is all over the place, hitters foul everything off, and against the computer Rookie feels like All Star. I am having to through around the middle in hopes the pitch stays in the zone and that is a fastball. Nothing like 21

That would make you the only player able to see opponents PCI feedback

The pci circle feedback is gone, but still shows pitch location. Sorry if I kinda worded that weird, but only way I thought to explain it. Im talking more pitches far out of zone being driven for hard hits more routinely this year. Completely possible, but should be extremely low frequency
