Getting perfect/perfects with power swing and either dies at the wall or is a line drive well short of the wall.
I'm thinking this is Hammerin' Hank with 755 HRs, the most HRs for the longest time, so how could I not be hitting HRs?
Looked at the player stats to look at this card...94 overall...77 and 85 Power (R/L)...
How is such a high diamond card of (one of) the biggest homerun hitters of all-time not be capable of hitting HRs with perfect/perfect power swings?
Apparently because it is his 1961 All Star card where he only had 34 HRs that season, so his power ranking is nerfed!!! So, let's make a daily moment of hitting a homerun with a power-nerfed Hank Aaron card!!!
Yay!!!
****** As usual, the key is to make a post about it and the power magically appears! Have fun! ******

I am trying to do the dailies so far but if all we are getting for them is XP, with no bonuses tied to doing some minimum number, then I will start skipping any that seem like they are going to be unnecessarily difficult.

Yeah it does suck they took away the reward path for the dailies. The 1000XP is hardly worth some of the more annoying ones. I didn't expect this was going to be one! I hope you get it quicker than me if you do try it. You do start off facing a lefty and in Atlanta (vs Dodgers), so that is better than facing a righty in LA!

Im old enough to remember when 85 power was considered god-like in The Show. We've been spoiled by too many cards with 110+ power the last few years and i personally like this years being a little watered down for realism.

But that 85 back then (which I played back then as well since I've played every version of the game) is not like the 85 in this game today! That history lesson also doesn't have any effect whatsoever on today's daily moment!
I'm also old enough to remember playing...

If you NEED 100+ power to hit a homerun, you should probably spend a few weeks in practice mode. Its not too hard to hit a homerun in this game with 60-80 power....especially vs the CPU on rookie lol

I got it done on the second pitch. Directional and move up on the analog stick.

I just placed my PCI 'in the dirt' and waited for a low pitch. Power swung and BOOM!
Third pitch of the game.

Looks like a good time to use the PCI anchor as well.

Just tried the Pedro Martinez daily. Got three strikeouts pretty quickly.
Last guy to get out so I could complete the daily, I literally threw 4 pitches down the middle of the plate. All fastballs. All 4 were balls, missing by a wide margin.
Tell me these moments aren’t “pre planned “.
