Rank What You Think…

… will be the top 5 most expensive Live Series team collections for MLBTS 22.
-
Angels
Dodgers
Mets For sure. And 2 of either Padres, Braves, Astros, Yankees, or Blue jays.
-
Pretty right on Chuck
-
Angels will be even tougher this year because Ohtani will start out in the 90's instead of being a gold.

And with him being a 2 way player in game now he may actually help bring Trouts price down some since he is on the same team. Ohtani could be the the new Trout.

I would think Padres and Braves over the other 3. Astros likely won't have a 90+ card, the Yankees most likely will only have 1(Judge has never started a season 90+). and Tatis/ Acuna will be more desired cards than Vladdy.

Angels
Dodgers
Yankees
Mets
Braves (because of Acuna + Matt Olson)Darkhorse teams are
Padres
Rangers (Seager, Semien)
Brewers (Woodruf, Peralta, Hader)
Cardinals (Arenado, Goldschmidt, O'Neil, Bader)
and Blue Jays but save for Guerrero most of there's should go for 10/15k to startWhite Sox could also be a bit expensive depending on how many diamonds they have to start and they will be the gatekeepers of the AL Central (Hendricks, Grandal, Robert, Anderson and Abreu could be diamonds)
Plus there are the remaining big free agents (Story, Corea, Castellanos, Jansen, Conforto)
-
Dodgers will be the most expensive

Dodgers
Angels

I think what you are missing is that there is a drastic jump in price from 90+ diamonds to 85-89. Number of diamonds doesn't matter if they aren't 90+.
That being said there are never more than 10 90+ diamonds at launch.
Trout, Tatis, Acuna, Degrom, Ohtani are all but guaranteed 90+. The remaining five I would guess are: 1 of Judge/Cole, 2 dodgers(One of Turner, Freeman, or Betts won't be 90+, most likely betts.), Guerrero, Soto, last spot being one of Arenado, Burnes, Scherzer.- Angels(Trouts price will cover the dodgers diamonds and then some)
- Dodgers
- Mets
4.Braves
5.Padres - Yankees
7 Blue Jays
8.Nationals
9.NL Central team if they have a 90+.
Just my thoughts

Now that we have teams covered.
What will be the most expensive division? -

Yeah the Yankees are right there, but I don't quite get why Judge keeps going 90+, every year, this was his first MVP caliber season since 2017.
I think the most expensive division will be
NL East
Degrom
Scherzer
Marte
Harper
Olson
Acuna
Soto -

SotoNope in my opinion it will be the AL West yet again, Trout + Ohtani could cost upwards of 350k ( Trout 250k possibly, and Ohtani 100k because of his MVP year and people will want him)
Heres how i see it going
AL West (Angels, Rangers, Astros)
NL West (Dodgers *they might cost upwards of 500k lots of diamonds, Padres)
NL East (Mets, Phillies, Braves)
AL East (Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays, a few diamond Rays)
NL Central (because of the Cardinals and Brewers)
AL Central (White Sox, Indians) -

AL Central (White Sox, Indians)I freely admit you are probably right and I honestly don't quite understand some of the rating process. How was Kirby Yates a diamond all year when he hasn't pitched since 2019?
I'm sure Trout will be the ultimate gate keeper as that's apparently a given every year.I've heard the rating system is supposed to account for the last 3 years. If that is the case, the ultimate gatekeeper and highest rated player should be Juan Soto whose fWar over the last 3 years is 14.2 to Trout's 13.2. Scherzer should also be higher as he posted a 13.7. Of course if Trout had remained healthy he probably would have eclipsed those numbers but he didn't.
With that said, again, I am sure you are right, I would be shocked if anyone is rated higher than Trout to start the season. I still think the amount of 90+ diamonds could very easily include 5-6 players from the NL East: Scherzer, Degrom, Acuna, Olson, Harper and Soto.
I don't see anyone on the Astros, Rangers, A's or Mariners starting above 90. As of the end of this season nobody on any of those teams including new editions like Semien and Seager was over 89.
I am curious how the rating system works and how certain cards get to be so much higher in value than others. Is it mostly based on previous years on the Show and who is in higher demand as a card or is it all based on performance on the field and how far back does it go?

I know who it won't be. The Orioles, per usual.

Oh yeah, you're probably right, Salvy will be a diamond. Do you think Ketel Marte, Joey Votto or Cedric Mullins will start as diamonds since they ended that way or do they kind of reset a bit since Votto and Marte had a rebound year and Mullins a Breakout.
Also, the Tigers may not start with a diamond. I think they'll have a sneaky good team and may after a few roster updates but to start I don't see anyone as a diamond.
