So I got a question

Random times I hit a double and when my runner rounds 1st I let go of the advance button and push the slide button but he continues to 3rd. Doesn't happen everytime just randomly. What does everyone else do ? Am I doing something wrong?

Avoid L1 to advance runners. Use classic baserunning and the buttons and d-pad only. Never look back.

I can't find the option to change it..

In gameplay settings, baserunning is somewhere. Possibly batting and baserunning?

There is default and classic. Default uses thumb stick and buttons, classic uses buttons and d-pad. Both use L1 and R1.

I tried to steal 2nd with Trout in the event and ended up stealing 3rd as well.
