Veteran vs All Star Difficulty

Anyone else notice that when playing Conquest on one of these two difficulties; All-Star seems to be easier to score runs than Veteran?

I have been saying this for years. I will play on rookie or all star before I will play a game on veteran. If I am not mistaken in last night's stream they were showing numbers for each difficulty offline and the HR% for Veteran was lower than both AS and Rookie.
I honestly think it has to do with CPU strike throwing. On Rookie they are all meat pitches, easy to tee off, but on veteran you still get a lot of strikes so you can't work the count, but they arent fat down the middle. Once you are on AS and HOF you just have to be patient and work the count, so while you aren't mashing the ball, you are getting the CPU in trouble and it lowers confidence and stamina. On veteran you make a few outs swinging at two strike pitchers pitches that are just barely strikes and the CPU confidence is through the roof.

I've also noticed, on Veteran, that if you swing at a bad pitch; the pitcher will continue to throw at that spot until he walks you.

Hmm...I usually always play on veteran. All-star is when I need to do a certain mission, so I don't really see a difference outside of the occasional error of a first basemen not holding the bag on a bang bang play or a middle infielder not getting to the hole as quickly as they would on veteran.

I can tell you this I score about the same amount of runs on AS and VET.
I lost to the Padres some how on Rookie, I hate playing in that stadium and against them.

It's funny how you said Rookie pitchers just throw meatballs. There are some for sure, but I literally get 80% of pitches on ROOKIE below the zone or in the dirt. I had one game where they threw 6 straight curveballs in the dirt. I find Rookie the most infuriating to hit on sometimes. It's kind of ridiculous sometimes. I'll do some conquest sometimes and I'll play one or two games on HOF or Legend and I get better pitches to hit on those than Rookie or Vet. ...smh

Again I feel like a conspiracy theorists, but it seems like the CPU regardless of difficulty will start exploiting your weakness when they find it. And you have to adjust. I know that if I start crushing one particular location, the cpu will stop throwing it there and if I don't notice right away I will start slumping looking for my pitch. So yes even on rookie the cpu will stop throwing meat balls, but it takes a lot longer than it does on veteran.
Anyway. Like I said, I avoided veteran since 19 and am a lot happier.

Yea, I feel the same way. I get almost all garbage, unhittable pitches on Rookie.
